At the Foot of Castel del Monte
Finally, here we go! This is my homeland, in the Northern Puglia. This area is not so popular as Salento, but very special for the nature and history. Montegusto Masseria is there, at the foot of Castel del Monte, the famous castle built by Frederick II. A truly one-of-a-kind, evocative place at the center of a thousand mysteries, and therefore a UNESCO heritage site. In the Montegusto courtyard you can see the Castle on one side, very close, and on the other side the view of the National Park of Alta Murgia. In this space, so evocative for me who grew up here, and so suggestive for those who come to visit it, I imagined a wedding reception where you can live an experience with the typical Apulian colors and the authentic flavors of traditional Murgia’s cuisine.
The flower palette came naturally: warm, earthy colors, fresh flowers but also dehydrated flowers, recalling the Murgia expanses, cooked under the sun and dried by the wind. I had fun setting different tables in the same location, and the same tables in different locations, also imagining a winter wedding.
