Megan & Carlos
ARTFUL INSTALLATION
Meagan and Carlos, a couple sensitive to art and beauty. Megan loved flowers, Carlos energetic colors. Megan wanted to combine the architecture of Villa Cimbrone, with an installation that was impactful, modern and colorful but also a bit dramatic.
I accepted the challenge and had fun designing all the arrangements, especially the setting for the dinner in the crypt, where we created an art installation of fabrics and flowers. This large fuchsia ribbon adorned a vault of the crypt, representing a pop-up of color, a color made even bolder by the contrast with the grass-green tablecloth.
The ceremony took place in the tea-room, where we created both an arch of flowers and a semicircle on the ground around the celebrant’s table.
All the arrangements at this wedding were sculptural rather than organic. The flowers were divided into color groups, also characterized by strong contrasts.
For the bridal bouquet, however, Meagan asked to stay in the traditional vein, carrying a bouquet of calla lilies of the valley and calla lilies of the valley, simple and elegant, perfect for her dress by Vivienne Westwood
